About the Position:

 

You will be part of the Purchasing team that is expanding its presence in the Slovak Marelli office based in Trnava.

 

In this position, you will, among other things, cooperate with employees across Marelli's international offices.

 

Performing work in line with your qualifications and knowledge is an important criterion for us.

 

The Senior Purchasing Specialist reports to the Head of Purchasing. He/she is a key position within the Purchasing Department for the efficient execution of tasks for the assigned business process, function or area.

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

•    Timely and thorough processing of supplier master data management (creation/changes).
•    Timely and thorough processing of material master data management (creation/changes).
•    Manage the running of the purchase order processing cycle for both indirect and direct business.
•    RFQ support activities in accordance with applicable guidelines and in accordance with BU/commodities. 
•    Monitor vendor performance and generate relevant metrics and reports.
•    Liaise with the finance department for any issues related to PO discrepancies or finance issues
•    Collaborate with departments, plants, commodity buyer 
•    AoB related to the area within the defined scope
•    Coaching team members in achieving goals and developing necessary skills.
•    Developing team strengths and improving weaknesses, leading team members.

What Qualifications you will bring:

  • •    A university degree in a Business or adequate professional experience.
    •    Fluent English is required, another language is an advantage.
    •    7+ years of experience in an SSC environment, procurement experience is welcomed.
    •    ERP experience is essential (SAP preferred).
    •    Analytical skills.
    •    Willing to develop and learn.

    •    Ability to work collaboratively, team player.

    •    Thorough analytical skills with the ability to create reports and perform analysis.

Other skills that we would welcome:

•    Team player with strong communication, interpersonal and customer-orientedskills.
•    Experience using database management systems is required, working knowledge of any HR information system is an advantage.
•    Proficiency with office administrative technologies, case management processes, telephony, knowledge management processes, e.g. MS Office 365 and/or SharePoint expertise.
