About the Position:
We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join the PP&C team, reporting directly to the PP&C Manager.
This position is based at our office in Tepotzotlan, Mexico.
As a Continuous Improvement Engineer at Marelli, you will play a crucial role in driving efficiency, enhancing quality, and fostering innovation within our manufacturing and operational processes. Your efforts will contribute significantly to optimizing performance, reducing waste, and achieving our strategic goals.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Identify, implement, and oversee process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and develop solutions to optimize processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify process inefficiencies and quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive measures.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes, making adjustments as necessary to ensure sustained improvement.
- Facilitate continuous improvement workshops and training sessions to promote a culture of continuous learning and development among team members.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and success of improvement initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain competitiveness in the electronics sector.
- Prepare and present reports on process improvement activities and outcomes to stakeholders and senior management.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and tools.
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) is a plus.

- Statistical Analysis: Proficiency in statistical tools and techniques to analyze process data and variability.
- Automation Knowledge: Understanding of automation technologies and how they can be integrated into existing processes for efficiency gains.

- Alignment with Business Goals: Ensure that all improvement initiatives are aligned with the company’s strategic goals and contribute to its mission and vision.
- Frequent Communication: Maintain open and regular communication with stakeholders to keep them informed about progress, challenges, and successes.
- Performance Measurement: Regularly track and report the performance and impact of implemented solutions against pre-defined KPIs and objectives.
