About the Position:
We are looking for a Head of Quality North America - Electronic Systems to join the North America Electronic Systems team, reporting directly to the Electronic Systems Quality Director.
This position is based at our office in Mexico (Tepotzotlán or Aguascalientes).
As the Head of Quality North America - Electronic Systems at Marelli, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality across our products and processes. This role focuses on developing and implementing quality strategies, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Your Responsibilities will be:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement quality strategies aligned with divisional and corporate objectives. Lead quality initiatives to drive process improvements and product excellence across the region.

Quality Management: Oversee the regional quality management system (QMS) to ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and customer-specific requirements.

Continuous Improvement: Execute continuous improvement programs and lead activities such as root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and lean initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to address quality issues, support new product introductions, and improve overall quality performance.

Customer Focus: Act as the primary quality liaison with key customers in the region. Drive customer satisfaction by responding to quality concerns and fostering strong relationships.

Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing quality team. Promote a culture of quality awareness and accountability throughout the organization.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to product quality and safety. Implement proactive risk management and failure analysis processes.
What Qualifications you will bring:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Extensive experience in quality management within the automotive and electronics industry, including knowledge of sector-specific challenges and innovations.

Proven leadership skills with experience managing regional or multi-site quality operations.

Strong knowledge of quality standards and regulations, including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.

Experience in conducting internal and supplier audits to assess compliance with quality management systems and identify opportunities for improvement.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Proficiency in using data analysis tools and methodologies to drive quality improvements and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).

Familiarity with quality tools such as Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Other skills that we would welcome:

Certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, demonstrating expertise in process improvement methodologies.

Experience with Quality Management Software (QMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP or comparable platforms.

Ability to effectively manage and drive change in a dynamic environment, fostering innovation and adaptability within the team and organization.

Experience working in a global context or multicultural environment, with the ability to navigate different business cultures and practices.
