About the Position:
We are looking for a Logistics Engineer to join the Electronic Systems Plant team, reporting directly to the Plant Logistics and Supply Chain Manager.
This position is based at our office in Tepotzotlán, Mexico.
As the Logistics Engineer at Marelli, you will be responsible for optimizing the supply chain and logistics operations of the plant, with a focus on designing and implementing efficient systems to ensure the smooth flow of products from suppliers to customers.
Your Responsibilities will be:
Purpose of Position:
The Logistic Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement on internal physical flows within the SCM department and ensuring a high level of knowledge dissemination. This role focuses on optimizing processes and integrating advanced systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across internal flows (warehousing, distribution, WIP management, Production collection, Storage..), to enhance efficiency and support overall business objectives.
- New Launch Contributions: Collaborate on new product launches by optimizing storage space, minimizing double handling, and implementing cost reduction strategies.
- Process Automation: Develop and implement automation processes, such as Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems, to streamline operations and increase productivity.
- Logistics Expertise: Provide expert insights into various logistics elements to support the development of effective system designs that meet operational needs.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant 3+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain engineering, with a proven track record in optimizing logistics operations.
- Knowledge of supply chain concepts, transportation methods, and warehouse operations.
Other skills that we would welcome:
- Familiarity with logistics technologies, such as TMS and WMS.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis and logistics modeling tools.
- Effective communication and project management skills to manage cross-departmental projects.
