About the Position:
We are looking for a PLM Engineer to join the Project Management Team, reporting directly to the Process Launch Manager.
This position is based at our office in Tepotzotlan, Mexico.
As the PLM Engineer at Marelli, you will be responsible to overseeing the implementation and optimization of PLM systems to streamline processes, enhance collaboration across departments, and ensure timely delivery of electronic products that meet our quality standards.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Administer and maintain the PLM system, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to integrate PLM tools and processes.
- Support new product introductions by managing product data, bills of materials, and change management within the PLM system.
- Develop and deliver training sessions and documentation for team members on PLM processes and tools.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of PLM data to ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance PLM processes, increase efficiency, and reduce cycle times.
- Troubleshoot and resolve PLM-related issues, working closely with IT and other stakeholders.
- Provide insights and expertise on best practices in PLM to support strategic decision-making.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a PLM engineer role or similar position within the electronics or automotive industry.
- Proficiency with PLM software (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, or similar).
- Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle and engineering change management.
- Experience with CAD/CAE tools and understanding of product data management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
Other skills that we would welcome:
- Experience in electronics manufacturing or automotive industries.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and digital transformation initiatives.
- Certification or formal training in PLM system administration.
