About the Position:
We are looking for a Manufacturing SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Supervisor to join the Electronic Systems Plant Manufacturing team, reporting directly to the Production Unit Manager.
This position is based at our office in Tepotzotlán, Mexico.
As the Manufacturing SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Supervisor at Marelli, you will be responsible for overseeing the surface mount technology production processes within the SMT production area.
Your Responsibilities will be:

Production Oversight: Supervise and manage SMT production lines, ensuring efficient and effective operation. Plan, coordinate, and direct activities to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.

Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of operators and technicians. Conduct training and development programs for staff to enhance skill levels and productivity.

Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of products being assembled, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Implement and maintain systems to improve product quality.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices. Use data analysis to monitor trends and recommend corrective actions.

Equipment Maintenance: Work with maintenance teams to ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.

Safety and Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed and promote a culture of safety among team members

Reporting and Documentation: Maintain production logs and prepare reports on production activities. Document any changes to procedures and ensure compliance with all documentation practices.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Equivalent experience may also be considered.
- Relevant experience in SMT production or electronic manufacturing, with a proven track record in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proficiency in using SMT equipment and related technologies.
- Understanding of the electronics manufacturing industry and SMT processes.

- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
