About the Position:
We are looking for a R&D Hardware Power Electronics Specialist to join the Motorsport R&D team, reporting directly to the R&D HW Electronics-Power Electronics Manager
This position is based at our office in Venaria Reale (Turin).
As the R&D Hardware Power Electronics Specialist at Marelli, you will be responsible to support the electrification of Motorsport EV/HEV applications.
Your Responsibilities will be:

- Guarantee design activities of power converters (500-2500W DC/DC)
- Design of the complete electronic of the apparatus (power stage, schematics of electronics boards, BoM)
- Define the HW/SW interface working in collaboration with SW designer/System Architect.
- Perform losses calculation and thermo-electric simulation of the power stages
- Debug and validation of the converter
- Testing flow definition
- Release and update the documentation of the product
- Support activity of the Motorsport production (SOP and issues)
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Degree in Electric/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- 2-5 years’ experience in similar role from Automotive (preferred), Traction or Industrial sectors.
- Education/Knowledge oriented to power converters and its main components design
- Good Knowledge of electrical system/equipment and testing in High Voltage (1000V) environment
- knowledge of Standard eCAD for electrical design. Use of Mentor XDesigner schematic entry.
- Good Knowledge of some of the following tools: Spice, MATLAB/Simulink, Electromagnetic simulation tools like Altair Flux, Ansys Maxwell or Ansys Q3D.
- Ability to use lab standard instrumentation (Oscilloscope, multimeter, Signal Generator, Logic State Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzer, etc.) for debug activity
- Knowledge of EMC problems, signal integrity, and guidance rules.
- Very good knowledge of English and Italian.
