About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join the HR Interior team, reporting directly to the Senior HR Manager.
 

This position is based at our office in Washington/Sunderland.
 

Your Responsibilities will be:

As the HR Business Partner at Marelli, you will be responsible for-

  • Act as a business partner to the Plant, supporting the Plant management team in the achievement of its business plan through maximising HR and people contribution.
  • Be a positive role model and coach to HR Officer. Planning, directing and coordinating the work activities of HR Officer.
  • Provide the organisation with expert advice and guidance on all employee relations matters including leading Plant HR activities for investigation, disciplinaries, grievances and Colleague Council/ union activities.
  • Provide expert employment law advice to the organisation providing practical advice and actions based on risk mitigation.
  • Lead Plant recruitment activities providing expert guidance and ensuring recruitment policy/procedure is adhered.
  • Work with Plant Management team in designing and implementing appropriate structures to deliver organisational success including leading restructure/ redundancies processes when required.
  • Lead Plant organisational talent review process from an HR perspective and support performance management issues as required.
  • Lead the process for Climate Survey and PULSEY survey including supporting leaders in creation of Action Plan for Plant to support cultural development

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • CIPD qualified, (preferably Graduate level or equivalent degree) with a strong HR generalist background

Other skills that we would welcome:

  • Good IT skills (Microsoft office)
  • Excellent prioritisation, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Thorough knowledge of UK Employment legislation and commitment to continuing professional development
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure, managing a high volume workload with a robust, flexible approach to work
  • Positive outlook with the ability to drive culture change and be a role model for people focused behaviours
  • Confident and assertive
  • Ability to remain calm under pressurised situations, and cope with complex challenging people issues
  • Confident and clear communicator
  • Passionate about providing a great HR service and support to the business
  • Forward thinking, and enjoys change and continuous improvement

The HR Business Partner role is a full generalist position, with a business partner focus, leading the full range of HR activities at a Plant level. This is the perfect position for an established, driven HR professional who is looking for a challenging role which will expand their range of experiences in one of the most exciting sectors in Manufacturing.
