About the Position:
We are looking for a Material Planning Specialist to join the SCM + GT team, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.
This position is based at our office in Aguascalientes (Insite Nissan).
As the Material Planning Specialist at Marelli, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient planning, procurement, and distribution of materials required for production and operational needs.
Your Responsibilities will be:
· Develop and maintain material requirement plans based on production schedules and forecasts.
· Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply and minimize excess stock.
· Coordinate procurement activities with suppliers and internal stakeholders to guarantee timely material delivery.
· Analyze supply chain data to identify risks, shortages, and opportunities for cost optimization.
· Resolve discrepancies and issues related to materials, deliveries, and inventory records.
· Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to support efficient material flow.
· Utilize ERP/MRP systems for tracking, planning, and reporting material status.
· Prepare regular reports on inventory, material availability, and planning performance.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain and material management.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in material planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and fast-paced environments.
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement.
