About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Supplier Development  to join the Purchansing team, reporting directly to the Manager
 

This position is based at our office in Marelli Plant PIVA
 

As the Supplier Development  at Marelli, you will be responsible for evaluating, training, and auditing the supply chain. Its objective is to ensure that suppliers meet standards for quality, technical capability, and delivery from the point of origin,

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

  •  Sourcing, developing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers
  • Interpreting drawings, basic knowledge of raw materials and production methods, and improvements in production processes.
  • Maintaining constant communication with  various plants in other regions.
  • Following the supplier selection process proposal through the standard PSSC global operation.
  • Manage the validation and approval of new parts through inspections  and the APQP process.
  • Supporting operational areas to ensure that suppliers meet the company's needs.
  • Requesting, analyzing, comparing, and negotiating quotes based on Quality, Cost, and Delivery terms.
  • Control, manage, and update commercial information within the company's systems

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Bachelor's Degree in Commerce/Business or related field
  • Cost Analysis
  • National or foreign supplier trade negotiations.
  • Conduct visits and audits to supplier plants to assess installed capacity, risks, and contingency plans
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in new supplier development, supplier quality assurance (SQA), or technical purchasing management. Familiarity with manufacturing processes relevant to the industry
  • ISO/TS, IATF Quality Systems
  • Solid experience conducting process audits (VDA 6.3 standards).

  • English conversational indispensable
  •  Must have a basic understanding of the import and export flow of products and customs procedures.
