About the Position:

We are looking for an Associate Materials Management Specialist. This position is based at our office in Amparo/SP.
The Associate Materials Management Specialist at Marelli is responsible for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), implementing transport and warehouse management tools, optimizing Materials Management networks, driving sustainability initiatives, and supporting customs activities. The Associate Materials Management Specialist will contribute to achieving operational efficiency and improving overall Materials Management performance.

Your Responsibilities will be:

•    Materials Management KPIs monitoring: Regularly monitor, analyze, and report Materials Management KPIs such as transport costs, premium freight costs, packaging costs, and freight forwarders’ quality performance. Conduct root cause analysis for unachieved KPIs and propose actions to improve performance.
•    Transport management tools: Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of transport management tools, ensuring efficient and effective transportation operations. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for transport optimization solutions such as increasing saturation, implementing milkrun systems, and optimizing flows.
•    Warehouse operations: Monitor warehouse costs on a monthly basis and identify areas for optimization. Promote warehouse footprint optimization solutions, such as synergies, to enhance efficiency. Develop and implement warehouse processes for physical and digital flows, including ERP systems. Define and introduce warehouse standards for staff and equipment.
•    World-class Materials Management processes: Introduce and maintain world-class Materials Management processes and standards in logistic operations, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and guidelines. Continuously seek improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
•    Customs support: Provide support to plant operations on customs activities, including import/export processes, goods of origins, and customs regulations. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with customs requirements.
•    Sustainability initiatives: Implement and promote solutions that contribute to achieving sustainability targets set by the company. Drive initiatives to reduce environmental impact, improve resource efficiency, and enhance sustainability across Materials Management operations.
•    Project support: Follow specific projects related to Materials Management operations and provide guidelines to all divisions. Contribute to the development of transportation design tools and deployment of global standards within the Materials Management network.
•    Global transport management system: Contribute to the optimization of the inter-region Materials Management network and support the deployment and maintenance of the global transport management system.

What Qualifications you will bring:

•    Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Warehousing, or a related field.
•    Minimum experience: Entry-level, experience in Materials Management or supply chain-related roles. Knowledge of Materials Management KPIs, transport management systems, and warehouse operations.Understanding of customs regulations and import/export processes. Familiarity with sustainability practices and initiatives in Materials Management operations is a plus.  Strong understanding of Materials Management and supply chain management principles, processes, and best practices.
•    Skills: Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct root cause analysis. Proficient in using relevant software applications and tools for Materials Management and supply chain management.

  • Advanced English is mandatory. You will have daily interactions with other countries.
