About the Position:
We are looking for a Direct Buyer - Parental leave replacement to join the Electronics System Purchasing team, reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager.
This position is based at our office in Aguascalientes and is a parental leave replacement (7 months).
As the Drect Buyer at Marelli, you will be responsible for procuring raw materials and components essential for production.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Supplier Management: Maintain strong, professional relationships with key vendors.
- Cost Reduction Initiatives: Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, focusing on favorable pricing, quality standards, and delivery commitments.
- Order Management: Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in terms of specifications, delivery dates, and pricing.
- Market Research: Conduct ongoing market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the supply chain.
- Inventory Control: Collaborate with the logistics and inventory teams to monitor stock levels and manage lead times to prevent production disruptions.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with engineering, quality, and production teams to address material needs and resolve procurement issues.
- Performance Monitoring: Evaluate supplier performance regularly and initiate improvement or development plans as necessary.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze market and industry trends.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Relevant experience in procurement, preferably in the automotive or electronics industry
