About the Position:
We are looking for a Functional Validation Engineer to join the Electronics team, reporting directly to the System Manager
This position is based at our office in Aguascalientes.
As the Functional Validation at Marelli, you will be responsible/support/elevate.....
Your Responsibilities will be:
1. Perform System Validation activities in compliance with Automotive-SPICE standard (SYS.5).
2. Set-up the test environment needed to execute System Validation test cases.
3. Review and verify Functional System Requirements from testability perspective.
4. Implement Functional System Validation test cases.
5. Ensure traceability from Functional System Requirements to the System Validation test cases.
6. Create manual, automatic and semi-automatic test cases in different test environments.
7. Review test conditions and test cases applying different types of review techniques: peer review, walkthrough review and inspection.
8. Execute System Validation test cases as defined in the test plan and test strategy.
9. Analyze test results and defects and document them accordingly to the defined procedures.
10. Generate System Validation test report.
11. Open System Validation defects, track their progress, guarantee that the proper test environment is used to verify the behaviour (including labs) and closely collaborate with software, system and hardware teams for closure.
12. Perform regression testing and confirmation testing (a.k.a. re-testing).
13. Apply and contribute to the creation of procedures and documentation for System Validation activities.
14. Define the test environment and the needed instrumentation used to perform System Validation activities for new projects.
15. Improve the existent test framework by providing solutions to increase the quality and time efficiency.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Electronic Engineering Degree, Information Science Degree or equivalent background
- English (recommended): written and spoken independent use (B2 level)
- Experience in System Tests activities is a plus. The above competences have to be maturated in automotive area or other large scale markets• Ability to work in multinational distributed teams
• Problem solving and decision making attitude
• High capacity of analysis and synthesis for all the technical issues
• System Requirements analysis capability
• Measurement tools (Oscilloscope, Picoscope and Multimeter) usage capability
• Test Management and Test Development processes
• Product Development Standard Processes knowledge (Automotive Spice)
• V-Model development process knowledge
• Agile, SCRUM and Kanban methodologies knowledge
• Defect Management tools knowledge (e.g. Jira)
Other skills that we would welcome:
• Electronics, vehicle networks and low-level communication protocols knowledge (CAN, LIN, MOST, Ethernet etc)
• Diagnostics protocols (UDS, KWP)
• Functional Requirements Analysis
• HW schematics understanding
• Test Automation
• Scripting language (Python, CAPL, C# etc)
• Automotive technical, environmental and homologation standards
• Functional Safety standard and design rules (e.g. ISO 26262)
• Analytic tools and methodologies (e.g. FMEA, FTA)
• Test equipment configuration
• Automotive development and testing software tools (e.g. Vector CANoe, Vector CANalyzer)
• Requirements management tools knowledge (e.g. DOORS)
• Engineering lifecycle management tools (e.g. IBM Rational Team Concert)
