About the Position:
We are looking for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join the Electronic Systems Plant team, reporting directly to the Manufacturing Quality Supervisor.
This position is responsible for ensuring that electronic products and manufacturing processes meet internal, customer, automotive, and regulatory quality requirements. The role focuses on process quality control, defect prevention, problem solving, continuous improvement, and ensuring product conformity throughout the manufacturing lifecycle, from new product introduction to mass production.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Quality Planning: Develop and maintain quality controls for electronic manufacturing processes, including SMT, assembly, soldering, coating, testing, inspection, and final validation. Support Control Plans, PFMEA, work instructions, inspection criteria, and process validation activities.
- Process Quality Assurance: Monitor production performance and ensure compliance with defined quality standards, customer requirements, and automotive electronics specifications. Analyze quality indicators such as scrap, rework, FPY, yield, PPM, customer complaints, and internal defects.
- Problem Solving: Lead root cause analysis for process and product nonconformities using 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, Pareto, and other quality tools. Define, implement, and verify corrective and preventive actions with cross-functional teams.
- Testing and Evaluation: Support validation of electronic assemblies through functional testing, ICT, EOL testing, visual inspection, solder joint evaluation, and reliability
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronics Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in manufacturing quality, quality assurance, or quality control within the electronics, automotive, or manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes such as SMT, PCB assembly, soldering, conformal coating, final assembly, ICT, functional testing, and end-of-line testing.
- Experience with automotive quality systems and standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC.
- Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies including 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, Pareto analysis, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to analyze quality indicators such as scrap, rework, yield, FPY, PPM, customer complaints, and internal defects.
- Familiarity with IPC standards, customer-specific requirements, audits, and corrective action follow-up.
- Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement skills.
