About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager  to join the Electronics team, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.
 

This position is based at our plant in PIVA Aguascalientes .
 

As the MAintenance Manager at Marelli, you will be responsible  for leading all maintenance activities at the Aguascalientes electronics manufacturing facility, ensuring high equipment availability, safe operations, reliable facilities, and continuous improvement of maintenance systems. 

Your Responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and lead the plant maintenance strategy aligned with business unit and site operational goals.
  • Ensure reliable operation of manufacturing equipment, automation systems, test equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure.
  • Implement and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
  • Lead corrective maintenance activities, ensuring fast response to equipment failures and production interruptions.
  • Establish equipment maintenance standards, schedules, spare parts strategies, and technical documentation.

What Qualifications you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Proficient experience in electronics manufacturing, automotive electronics, high-volume assembly, SMT, testing, automation is a must to apply for this position
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 3–5 years of leadership experience managing maintenance teams.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
  • Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance KPIs.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, and facility systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills using structured methodologies such as 5 Why, Ishikawa, 8D, or DMAIC.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and planning skills.
  • Bilingual Spanish and English preferred or required, depending on company policy.

Other skills that we would welcome:

  • Experience in a multinational manufacturing company.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, or similar quality/environmental systems.
  • Experience supporting customer audits and operational readiness reviews.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, robotics, automated assembly equipment, vision systems, and electronic test systems.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • TPM, Reliability-Centered Maintenance, or Maintenance Excellence certification.
