About the Position:

 

We are looking for an SMT Engineering Supervisor to lead the SMT engineering team in automotive electronics manufacturing, reporting directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

This position is based at our office in Aguascalientes, Mexico. 

This role is responsible for ensuring stable, efficient, and compliant SMT processes while driving quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities will be:

Supervise SMT engineers and technicians; support production lines; manage stencil printing, pick & place, SPI, AOI, reflow and cleaning processes; analyze defects and process deviations; lead corrective actions; validate process changes; maintain SOPs, PFMEA, Control Plan and process parameters; reduce scrap, downtime and defects; support audits and customer requirements; drive Lean, Kaizen, 5S and IATF 16949 compliance.

What Qualifications you will bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or related field; 3–5 years of SMT experience in electronics or automotive manufacturing; people leadership experience; knowledge of IPC standards, soldering processes, component handling, ESD, SPC, MSA and data analysis; intermediate-advanced English; MS Office proficiency. 

Experience with 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, Pareto, DOE, root cause analysis, yield improvement, defect reduction, process capability, troubleshooting of printing, placement, soldering and inspection defects.
