About the Position:
We are looking for an experienced and highly driven Senior Director Financial Planning, Analysis & Controlling to join the Global Finance team. The role has end‑to‑end responsibility for Global FP&A and Controlling activities at Group and Functional level, with direct leadership over the Controlling teams supporting Central Functions, and the finance reference points for CXO functional areas.
The position plays a key role in strengthening financial governance, performance management and decision‑making across all corporate functions, while acting as a trusted business partner to the CFO and CXO leadership.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Financial Planning & Strategic support:
- Lead the development of annual budgets, long-term financial plans, and rolling forecasts.
- Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to the CFO and executive team.
- Oversee financial modeling, scenario planning, and business case development for key initiatives.
- Performance Management & Reporting:
- Define and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial and operational performance.
- Lead monthly and quarterly financial reviews, including variance analysis and risk/opportunity assessments.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Functional and Corporate Controlling oversight:
- Lead and coordinate Controlling teams supporting Central Functions.
- Act as the finance reference for CXO functional areas, ensuring cost control, forecast accuracy and performance transparency.
- Drive consistency and alignment between FP&A processes, functional controlling and Group financial governance.
- Promote harmonized planning, reporting and cost management practices across all corporate functions.
- Business Partnership & Decision Support:
- Act as a strategic advisor to business unit leaders, providing data-driven insights to drive profitability and efficiency.
- Partner with operations, procurement, and sales teams to optimize cost structures and margin improvement.
- Evaluate capital investment decisions and support M&A due diligence and integration efforts.
- Process Improvement & Systems Optimization:
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, tools, and analytics capabilities.
- Lead the evolution of FP&A and Controlling systems, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
- Develop and coach global FP&A and Functional Controlling teams, fostering accountability, collaboration and a strong performance culture.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
- Experience: 12+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership FP&A and Controlling role in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
- Proven experience in supporting corporate or central functions in a matrixed environment.
- Strong exposure to performance management, financial governance and business partnering at senior leadership level.
- Key Skills:
- Strong financial planning, forecasting, and analytical capabilities.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing cost structures, working capital management, and financial controls.
- Proficiency in financial systems (SAP, Hyperion, Power BI, etc.).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Other skills that we would welcome:
- Experience in a global, matrixed organization, embracing diversity and multiculturalism, is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and financial regulatory compliance.
- Track record of driving process improvements and system enhancements.
