About the Position:

Mission: define and manage the system requirements and architecture ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and timely delivery of propulsion systems in alignment with customer expectations and regulatory standards

 

Your Responsibilities will be:

With the aim to guarantee the quality and reliability expected by Customers:

•Analyze specifications related to propulsion systems, deploy requirements and define KPIs and qualification criteria.
•Design the system architectures (System Part List, Function List, System Layout, SOR) in agreement with the team involved in the design.
•Drive the system and sub-system analysis (System FMEA, FTA, …) and sharing the results.
•Promote and guarantee the support to proof of concept and feasibility studies to anticipate customer needs.
•Contribute to the definition of system architecture during the offer phase to achieve quality targets.
•Promote continuous benchmark on the best competitor's solutions.
•Participate in the definition of products road map.
•Cooperate with the other departments of Product Development to support system, sub-system and components design.
•Design and maintain a robust and reusable high-level functional architecture.
 

With the aim to guarantee the profit required by the Company:

•Ensure that the system respects cost targets through the definition of proper requirements and architecture.
•Support and suggest competitiveness actions and benchmark in accordance with VA/VE methodologies.
•Partecipate in the offer phase contributing by the definition of system architecture.
Participate to the definition of new methodologies for system and sub-system design.
 

With the aim to guarantee the time to market required by Customers:

•Anticipate customer needs and promote new solutions through a proof of concept in order to meet client expectations.
•Support new methodologies for system and sub-system design to ensure the fulfillment of delivery gates.
•Improve the efficiency in the definition of system architecture to ensure the fulfillment of delivery gates.
•Contribute to ensure the respect of work products quality, adequacy and completeness to fulfil stakeholders’ expectations.
•Be responsible for the release of the high level functional architecture (inter-functions)

Expectations from you in this position:

•Candidate during his tenure at Customer location must perform the following task,
a)Must be able to understand the issue raised by customer related to Gasoline/CNG powertrain & Vehicle functions like Air path, Fuel, Mixture ,Ignition, Combustion, Exhaust , Drivability
b)Must be able to take measurements from Engine / Vehicle , analyse using tools like INCA /MDA , discuss with internal stakeholders/ Customer and act as Technical Lead by providing System/SW solutions
c)Must be able to communicate effectively with internal & external stakeholders during the RFQ stage which involves I/O compatibility , System-SW compatibility , Support for Engine /Vehicle First Fire etc.
d)Must be able to elicit the requirement i.e. to gather , process and track evolving stakeholder needs throughout the lifecycle of the product
e)Must be able to foresee any risk before implementing the requirement in the existing EMS architecture
f)Must be able to transform the defined set of system requirements that will guide the design of the system in the form of SW control algorithm using MATLAB - Simulink / State flows and create the system level test cases to test the Control algorithm.
g)Must be able to support & manage the issue raised by different internal stakeholders like SW Team , Validation Team , Calibration team
