About the Position:

 

The Functional Safety Specialist is responsible for the safety-related support to the project team and for the verification review of safety-related work products.

Your Responsibilities will be:

  • Support Project Safety Managers, Functional Safety Methodology Specialist and Functional Safety Trainer on technical aspects of safety-related issues.
  • Support the Project Safety Manager in the evaluation of functional safety impact of RFIs, RFQs and CRs.
  • Support the project team in definition and estimation of the parts needing compliance with functional safety
  • Support and coach the project team in the execution of functional safety activities and in developing the product in compliance with functional safety.
  • Perform verification reviews on the work products.
  • Perform confirmation reviews on the work products.
  • Support the Project Safety Manager in preparing the project team for functional safety audits and assessments.
  • Contribute to the definition of indicators to measure Functional Safety team efficiency and effectiveness, for his/her area of competence, aiming at continuous process improvement.
  • Share opportunities for process improvement with Functional Safety Methodology Specialist and with the rest of the team.

What Qualifications you will bring:

Key skills

  • Deep knowledge of ISO 26262
  • Specific technical knowledge of his/her software process
  • Knowledge of tools and methodologies for safety analyses
  • Knowledge of process development standards (e.g. IATF, ASPICE, etc.)
  • Knowledge of embedded systems
  • Multinational team working

Other skills

  • MS Office

Technical background

  • Experience in automotive field

Language skills

  • English knowledge is mandatory

Education and former experience

  • Technical Engineering Degree or equivalent knowledge.
  • Experience in functional safety software development, ideally in the automotive industry.
