About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Tuner Engineer.

This position is based at our office in Bangalore.

 

Your Responsibilities will be:

  • Design and implement AM/FM/DAB/DAB++ Framework & HAL for Android Automotive.
  • Develop C/C++/Java code to interface with radio hardware.
  • Implement audio data streaming between HAL and Android framework.
  • Collaborate with engineers on Android Automotive audio stack.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of the Tuner functionality.
  • Analyze and interpret radio diagnostic data.
  • Stay current with advancements in Android Automotive audio and radio hardware.
  • Contribute to documentation and maintenance of Tuner code.

  • Proven expertise in C/C++/Java programming with a focus on system-level programming and memory management.
  • Strong understanding of Android HAL architecture and its interaction with the Android framework.
  • Solid knowledge of AM/FM radio technology, including modulation techniques, tuner architectures, and signal processing fundamentals.
  • Deep understanding of DAB and DAB+ modulation techniques, protocols, and associated standards (e.g., ETSI EN 300 402, EN 50417).
  • Experience with audio hardware interfacing and debugging techniques using tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, contributing effectively to projects and collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
  • IPC mechanism Binders/Shared Memory
  • Compliance to CTS/VTS and support in resolving defects.
  • Expertise in Java, Embedded C/C++ programing, JNI, Code Debugging and Analyzing issues in Android applications framework, and AOSP/HAL.
  • Knowledge of configuration Mgmt Tool and Defect Tracking Tool.
  • Experience working on Qualcomm Android Platform with QNX Hypervisor would be desirable.
  • Experience in Android and QNX/Linux development projects.
  • Expert knowledge of UML (Unified Modeling Language, e.g. Enterprise Architect)
  • Good knowledge of tracking tools, like Atlassian/Jira
  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies
