About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Global Project Portfolio & Resource Planner to join the Electronics Business Display and Cluster team.

This position is based at our office in Corbetta (MI).

The Global Project Portfolio & Resource Planner plays a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal alignment between resource capacity and the global project workload within the Engineering & Innovation organization. This strategic position acts as a crucial interface between R&D shared teams, Order Intake, and regional coordinators, driving efficient resource allocation, forecasting, and staffing strategies. By effectively managing the balance between resources and projects, this role enhances productivity and supports the timely delivery of business objectives.

Your Responsibilities will be:

  1. Resource & Capacity Planning
  2. Project Portfolio Alignment
    • Analyze project intake thoroughly, prioritizing resource allocation based on strategic business objectives and critical timelines.
    • Collaborate closely with R&D and Order Intake teams to align resources efficiently with the project pipeline and organizational goals.
    • Regularly review and adjust resource commitments to reflect shifts in project scope or business strategy.
  3. Stakeholder Coordination
    • Partner with regional coordinators worldwide to gather accurate forecasts, staffing needs, and understanding of regional constraints.
    • Facilitate clear and consistent cross-functional communication to maintain transparency and trust in resource planning processes.
    • Act as a liaison between teams to ensure all stakeholders have a shared understanding of resource strategies and project demands.
  4. Data-Driven Decision Making
    • Continuously monitor and report on resource utilization, project progress, and alignment with strategic goals, using data-driven insights.
    • Provide actionable insights to leadership to guide effective workforce planning and resource optimization strategies.
    • Develop and leverage key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success and efficiency of resource planning activities.

What Qualifications you will bring:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional certifications in project management or operations planning are advantageous.
  • Experience:
    • Proven expertise in resource planning, project management, or operations within an R&D or engineering environment.
    • Experience in managing complex, multinational project portfolios and resources.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills with a knack for translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
    • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to effectively interface with globally dispersed teams.
    • Proficiency in resource management software and tools is a plus.
