About the Position:

 We are looking for a Environment, Health & Safety Manager to join the Marelli Corbetta team, reporting directly to the Site Manager.
This position is based at our office in Corbetta (MI).

As the EHS Manager you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining local EHS strategies fully aligned with Marelli’s corporate and divisional policies and processes, and acts as RSPP (Responsabile del Servizio di Prevenzione e Protezione) for the Corbetta site. The role ensures legal compliance, fosters a safety and sustainability culture, and represents EHS operational leadership across the production plant, warehouse, offices, and laboratories.

Your Responsibilities will be:

  • Formal RSPP responsibilities for Corbetta
  • Officially act as RSPP for the Corbetta site (plant, warehouse, offices, labs)
  • Lead risk assessment processes, prepare and update prevention and protection plans
  • Maintain documentation and ensure periodic review of safety procedures
  • Collaborate with the employer (Datore di Lavoro), occupational doctor, managers, and supervisors on all EHS matters
  • Interface with RLS (Worker safety representatives) for information exchange, consultation, and improvement proposals
  • Coordinate emergency management (drills, procedures, responsible persons)
  • Operational implementation of EHS Policies
  • Adapt and apply corporate/divisional EHS procedures to local needs, ensuring site-wide deployment
  • Translate global and divisional EHS requirements into local processes and practices
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements regarding environment, health, and safety
  • Continuous Improvement, Lessons Learned & Best Practices
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and nonconformities, lead root cause analysis
  • Develop and drive corrective/preventive actions
  • Share lessons learned and best practices via workshops, bulletin, digital platforms
  • Be responsible for EHS MMS Pillar success
  • Sustainability & environmental projects
  • Launch and coordinate sustainability initiatives (e.g., waste, water reduction projects)
  • Monitor and analyze health, safety and environmental KPIs, report progress to management and corporate
  • Support and track progress toward Marelli’s sustainability targets
  • Identify and implement solutions to reduce environmental impact (waste sorting systems, water recycling, eco-friendly equipment)
  • Training and Development
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure compliance with mandatory EHS training requirements
  • Promote awareness, engagement, and participation in EHS initiatives
  • External relations & stakeholder management
  • Build and manage relationships with regulatory bodies (ASL, ARPA, INAIL, Fire Brigade, etc.), consultants, suppliers
  • Serve as the company’s point of contact during inspections, audits, and external reviews
  • Negotiate and ensure alignment between local requirements and corporate objectives
  • EHS Culture and Communication
  • Plan and deliver communication campaigns (safety weeks, sustainability days, posters, digital)
  • Foster leadership and employee involvement in EHS-related activities
  • Monitor workplace behavior and develop feedback/improvement mechanisms

What Qualifications you will bring:

  • University degree in technical/scientific disciplines
  • Minimum 5-7 years proven EHS experience, ideally in automotive/manufacturing sectors
  • Valid RSPP qualification as required by Italian regulations
  • Advanced knowledge of EHS laws and standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001). Auditor certification will be a plus
  • Good knowledge of sustainability matter
  • Project management skills in sustainability/environmental topics
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and team working abilities
  • Proficiency in digital corporate tools (reporting, knowledge sharing, data analysis)
  • Good English proficiency
