About the Position:

We are looking for a Software Project Manager to join the Electronics Business team.
This position could be based at our office in: Turin, Corbetta (MI), France.

The Software Project Manager will manage schedules and deliverables, ensure compliance with industry standards, and act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders. He/she coordinates and manage the Software Development activities together with Domain Leaders, and controls the whole process of Software Development and Delivery for his/her specific project, the Project Tracking for the SW Deliverables.

He/she reports to Technical Project Manager (TPM) or to the CPM (in case no TPM has been nominated) for escalation, when software tasks are not progressing according to the needs of the project.


 

 

Your Responsibilities will be:

  • Risk & Issue Management
    • Identify risks early and implement mitigation plans.
    • Drive WAR ROOM activities for critical issues impacting schedules or SOP readiness.
    • Maintain issue logs and ensure timely closure with root-cause resolution.
  • Support the Software Function Leaders and Feature References in allocating the appropriate Software Designers to work with the System Requirements Engineer and the System Architect in converting requirements into Software Technical Requirements and Design documents
  • Drive the creation of the SW Project Plan supporting the Software Function Leaders and Feature References in defining the correct Function Plan, collect and integrate all the contributions and solve all the dependencies
  • Report the status, issues and progress of the Software Development to the Project Team, the Customer and the Management
  • Define the Software Releases scope and communicates it to System Integration.
  • Ensure that decisions and actions taken during CCB are implemented
  • Ensure the SW tuning to the Customer
  • Agree with Product Evaluation and Quality departments about the verification and validation activities, ensuring them the SW availability
  • Support the TPM in aligning budget and resources needs and managing the specific SW development risks
  • Manage SW improvement activities
  • Ensure the deployment of Marelli Standard SW Development Methodology, SW libraries, SW Quality tools/methods and standardization of solutions, in collaboration with other involved departments (PD, Methodology, and Quality)

What Qualifications you will bring:

  • Knowledge of Program Management
  • Experienced in planning, monitoring and control activities (Project Management & Tools)
  • Knowledge of System Architecture, SW Integration and Validation
  • Basic Knowledge of economical/financial aspect (Initiative, Budget, Reporting)
  • Knowledge of SW development process
  • Knowledge of Requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS)
  • Basic knowledge of automotive Quality System
  • Problem solving attitude
  • Skills on Agile Development (SCRUM, Kanban)
  • Customer Management ability

Other skills that we would welcome:

Technical Background

  • High C/C++ programming skills
  • High skills on real-time O.S. (vxWorks, Linux, Autosar or equivalent) and related debug tools
  • Deep knowledge of modelling languages, techniques and tools (Matlab, Simulink, Enterprise Architect (UML) is nice to have)
  • Deep knowledge of static/dynamic code checking techniques an tools (CPPTest, PCLint, others)
  • Deep knowledge of unit testing/integration testing techniques an tools (CppUnit, CUnit, others)
  • Deep knowledge on Change Management process
  • MS Office Suite

Language Skills

  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Education & Former Experience

  • Electronic Engineering Degree, Information Science Degree.
  • At least 5 years-experience in SW development for embedded systems.
  • The competences have to be maturated in automotive area or other large-scale markets.
