About the Position:
Main goal of this role is to support the generation of cost reduction proposals, the implementation of the initiatives, and, for VAVE, the management of the initial phase of the feasibility study (up to the approval of the Business Case) to improve the project's contribution margin (CM) and the Division's savings.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- To provide support, for the area of expertise, during Workshops/Monozukuri (in development phase - Design to Cost/D2C - and in production phase - VAVE), promoting and collecting cost down proposals, supporting and processing proposal Business Cases, supporting the archiving and monitoring of proposal progress by ensuring data actualization (i.e. updating production data in the system) to generate up-to-date reporting
- To coordinate the VAVE actions until the Business Case is approved
- To support the development of actions, for their area of expertise, in collaboration with the project(s) and plant(s)
- To cooperate closely with Commodity/Purchasing to collect and introduce cost reduction proposals from Suppliers
- To manage the application of lessons learnt (from other Marelli projects or from benchmarking competitor products)
- To manage possible cost reduction ideas related to PCN/PTN from Components Continuity Management team
- To verify, where possible, alignment with the reference platform
- To cooperate with Project Management to monitor and improve the Project Contribution Margin
- To create effective communication between Sales, R&D, Finance, Commodity, Purchasing, Production Plants to improve the economic benefit of various cost reduction actions
- To participate in the Project Core Teams
- To participate in customer meetings on VAVE related issues
- To participate in Supplier Technical Events
- To track initiatives on the dedicated Tool
What Qualifications you will bring:
EDUCATION (SCHOOL/SPECIALIZATION): Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering
LANGUAGES: English fluent, additional language is preferred
- 4 years experience as HW design or process engineer or PM in Automotive environment
- Ability to scout & propose alternate components
- Understanding of HW Schematics. Experience in optimizing HW design
- Can work with supplier to develop component as per our need
- Ability to coordinate between Cross Functional Team & manage Customer.
- Master the VAVE process and Tool
- Development process knowledge
- Manufacturing processes knowledge and of the main interfaces between R&D and Plants
- Economics knowledge, concerning products/processes costs
- Customer management ability
- Process management efficiency
- Computer skills: Office, Marelli tools (i.e. Jira applications, Business Intelligence platforms, Technical DB)
Other skills that we would welcome:
