About the Position:

 

We are seeking a Mechanical Lead to join our Engineering team. This professional will be responsible for the functional leadership of mechanical development projects, ensuring the delivery of solutions that meet quality, cost, deadline, and innovation requirements. They will work by directing multidisciplinary teams and R&D technologies, directly contributing to the success and competitiveness of the company's products.

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

• Conduct analyses of mechanical requirements and standards, providing a list of deviations and formal reports.

• Define the product architecture and component design according to project constraints and legislative, internal, and customer requirements (including performance and reliability testing requirements).

• Conduct technical development during the product/part design phase.

• Ensure the availability of the Bill of Materials (BOM), 2D drawings, 3D drawings, assemblies, and customer drawings according to schedule.

• Conduct design verifications during the product/part design phase.

• Ensure the calculation of acceptable tolerances, thermal/FEM/MF simulations, engineering verifications, FMEA… according to development needs.

• Ensure, through internal/external benchmarks, the reusability and cost-effectiveness of design solutions.

• Ensure, in particular, the inclusion in 2D drawings of special requirements that exceed the mechanical perimeter.

• (Optical performance, component-level reliability testing, special aesthetic requirements.)

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

•   Mechanical design system view (performances, reliability, DFM, sensibility to costs.) 
•    Knowledge Automotive electromechanical assemblies mechanical design.
•    Knowledge Automotive interiors applications design or supplier monitoring 
•    Leadership, delegation and communication skills
•    Base knowledge of Mechanical CAD SW (basing on specific needs: NX11, NX2306, CATIA V5 or Creo)
•    Capability to analyze FEM, Mold Flow and Thermal simulations
•    FMEA methodologies knowledge
•    Knowledge of tolerance concepts (GD&T & Tolerance Chain)
•    Knowledge of 2D drawing ISO standards (ASME appreciated)
•    Good written and spoken English Knowledge.
