About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Metrology Technician to join the Calibration Laboratory team.
 

This position is based at our office in Hortolândia/SP.
 

 

Your Responsibilities will be:

  • Plan calibrations (internal and external).
  • Perform internal calibrations of instruments used in the plant, covering various quantities (temperature, humidity, torque and angle, roughness, general use force, flow, pressure, dimensional and electronic).
  • Issue internal calibration reports and conduct critical analysis.
  • Manage external calibrations (scheduling with providers, checking equipment availability, transportation, follow-up, critical analysis of calibration certificates, etc.).
  • Identify equipment calibration status (Approved or Rejected).
  • Handle calibration service purchasing processes (develop providers, conduct quotations, submit purchase requisitions, monitor performance, and keep the master list updated).
  • Keep the laboratory system up to date.
  • Develop procedures and operational instructions.
  • Adhere to calibration laboratory and organizational procedures and rules.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of the calibration laboratory.

What Qualifications you will bring:

  • Completed Technical Education (Mechatronics, Mechanics, Electrics, or similar).
  • Good knowledge of metrology and MS Office package (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a metrology technician working in instrument calibration.
  • Good communication (verbal and written).

Other skills that we would welcome:

  • Intermediate English.
  • Knowledge of statistics.
  • Knowledge of standards: ISO IEC 17025, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949.
  • Quality Tools (flowchart, root cause analysis, Pareto diagram, control chart, etc.).
