About the Position:

 

We are looking for a MMS Manager  to join the Manufacturing AL&S  team, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.
 

This position is based at our office in Cd. Juarez, Mex Plant 1.
 

As the MMS Manager at Marelli, you will be responsible/support/elevate.....

Your Responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure the implementation and development of the MMS methodology in the plant.


Promote the Culture of the MMS Methodology at all levels of the organization. Develop all personnel in the organization in Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Tools, as well as in the MMS Methodology. Develop auditors for the pillars of the MMS methodology. Lead internal MMS audits. Prepare for and host external MMS audits. Develop instructional material to deliver trainings related to MMS.


  • Develop the MMS methodology for each of the pillars.


Coordinate all Pillar Leaders for the implementation of the MMS Methodology. Develop all Pillar Leaders and Pillar auditors in the Methodology for their respective Pillars. Update all Pillar Leaders regarding new criteria and concepts generated within MMS. Coordinate the correct implementation of systematic pillars in productive processes. Carry out necessary activities to ensure progress and compliance in the Administrative Pillars of MMS.

  • Strengthen and promote continuous improvement.


Coordinate teams to carry out Continuous Improvement projects focused on Loss and Waste Reduction in the company. Lead activities and/or projects related to continuous improvement, productivity, and efficiency of the plant. Train operational and administrative personnel in continuous improvement tools. Promote the projects and tools that support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Comply with and enforce the plant’s internal work regulations.


Comply with and enforce the Marelli Group’s Code of Conduct. Participate in and comply with safety rules and wear Personal Protective Equipment.

What Qualifications you will bring:

EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:
Completed Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Industrial Engineering and Systems)

LANGUAGES:
Native Spanish Speaker
English B2

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years managing management systems (automotive industry).

EXPERIENCE THAT CAN SUBSTITUTE EDUCATION LEVEL:
8 years of experience in similar positions and/or activities and technical knowledge of the Continuous Improvement Methodology.

Participate in, promote, and ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, MMS, ISO 50001, TISAX, CSR, CTPAT.


Ensure proper use and consultation of documents and records from QMS (Quality Management System), EMS (Environmental Management System), and OHSMS (Occupational Health and Safety Management System). Identify and document potential causes of internal non-conformities in the area. Participate in the measurement and follow-up for achieving the area’s objectives. Collaborate in the promotion of QMS IATF 16949, EMS ISO 14001, OHSMS ISO 45001, MMS, ISO 50001, TISAX, CSR, and CTPAT, ensuring and validating the correct use and application of requirements, records, and data from our systems.

Expectations from you in this position:

Lead MMS Implementation and Development

  • Drive the effective rollout and sustainability of the Marelli Manufacturing System (MMS) methodology within the plant, ensuring alignment with corporate standards.

2. Promote the MMS Culture Throughout the Organization

  • Act as a key advocate for MMS, fostering understanding and engagement among all employees, from shop floor to management.

3. Develop and Train Personnel

  • Ensure that all staff receive comprehensive training in MMS tools (basic, intermediate, advanced) and facilitate ongoing education.
  • Build strong internal expertise by developing pillar leaders and auditors.

4. Oversee Audits and Compliance

  • Lead internal MMS audits and prepare the team for successful external audits.
  • Ensure all pillars are regularly assessed and improved according to MMS standards.

5. Coordinate Pillar Leaders

  • Organize and guide pillar leaders in the implementation and continuous improvement of MMS pillars, keeping them updated on latest developments.

6. Drive Continuous Improvement and Loss Reduction

  • Champion and support projects that reduce waste and losses, enhance productivity, and improve operational efficiency.

7. Support and Ensure Compliance with Standards

  • Make certain that IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, MMS, ISO 50001, TISAX, CSR, and CTPAT requirements are met and properly documented.

8. Ensure Correct Use of Management Systems

  • Guarantee that all processes, documents, and records in the Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems are maintained and updated.

9. Build and Disseminate Training Materials

  • Create effective training materials to support MMS learning and deployment.

10. Promote a Culture of Safety and Ethics

  • Lead by example in adhering to Marelli’s Code of Conduct, internal regulations, safety rules, and use of personal protective equipment.

11. Enable Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with all departments to maintain a consistent and holistic approach to MMS and continuous improvement initiatives.

12. Demonstrate Advanced Methodological Knowledge

  • Bring expertise in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, error proofing, standardized work, PPAP, Six Sigma, and other relevant methodologies to drive best-in-class performance.
