About the Position:
We are looking for a Leader of the Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance Department to join the MFE & Maintenance dpt. in Propulsion team, reporting directly to the Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance Manager.
This position is based at our office in Kechnec - Slovakia.
As the Leader of the Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance Department at Marelli, you will oversee team performance, optimize processes, implement best practices, manage new developments, and ensure compliance with standards and safety.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate maintenance engineers and technologists, ensuring effective task completion and team development.
- Technical Expertise: Act as a process and technology expert, supporting problem-solving and process optimization initiatives.
- Technology & Best Practices: Facilitate technology transfer and drive the implementation of best practices by collaborating with other plants and departments.
- Project Development: Manage equipment validation and integration for new developments and process changes, coordinating with suppliers.
- Compliance & Improvement: Ensure adherence to standards and regulations while promoting continuous improvement and safety.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Ability control of correct content of the PM / AM plan and subsequent verification of correct implementation.
- Strong technical thinking.
- Deep understanding of process optimization and problem-solving to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Other skills that we would welcome:
- Standard industrial customer requirements.
- Automotive standards.
- Ability to create or improve process on the line.
- Strong basics and competences in mechanics, electrotechnics (mechatronics), pneumatics and sensor technologies.
- Layout – understand and how to create.
Expectations from you in this position:
- Daily Monitoring: Monitor and analyze production metrics to quickly address any deviations from targets.
- Issue Resolution: Actively engage in diagnosing and resolving technical issues on the production line to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
- Process Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of processes, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
- Equipment Calibration: Regularly check and calibrate machinery to ensure optimal performance and compliance with standards.
- Continuous Feedback: Engage with operators and personnel on the shop floor to gather feedback and implement improvements.
