About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Metrologist to join the Quality dpt. in Propulsion team, reporting directly to the Quality Incoming Inspection and Laboratory Coordinator.

This position is based at our office in Kechnec - Slovakia.

As the Metrologist, you will manage calibration and documentation for all measurement devices, ensuring compliance with standards. You will also serve as the plant expert for laboratory equipment.

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

  • Plan and manage the calibration of all measurement devices in the plant, including documentation and database updates.
  • Serve as the reference expert for specific measurement devices.
  • Coordinate calibration activities, including production line stops and involvement of internal and external personnel.
  • Optimize calibration activities, ensuring compliance with ISO TS requirements and implementing World Class Manufacturing principles.
  • Manage laboratory devices, including maintenance, technical availability, workplace organization, and operator training.

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • University engineering degree in a technical field.
  • Knowledge and experience in metrology, calibration, and usage of 3D measurement devices.
  • Expertise in quality standards and tools such as ISO TS, ISO 14001, OHSAS, FMEA, and World Class Manufacturing principles.

Other skills that we would welcome:

 

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and improve laboratory processes.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies or methodologies in metrology and calibration.
  • Proficiency in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for documentation and reporting.
  • Strong competency in training and developing operator knowledge on laboratory devices and calibration procedures.

  • Demonstrate reliability in planning and executing calibration activities to ensure measurement accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain proactive communication with all stakeholders to coordinate device availability and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Show initiative in optimizing laboratory equipment usage and implementing process improvements.
  • Provide clear training and guidance to operators, fostering a culture of quality and competence.
  • Adhere to all relevant standards (ISO, OHSAS) and Marelli procedures, supporting a safe and efficient work environment.
