About the Position:
We are looking for a Testing Engineer to join the Manufacturing, Electronics team, reporting directly to the Testing Leader.
This position is based at our office in Kechnec, Slovakia.
As the Testing Engineer at Marelli, you will be responsible for the process of testing products manufactured in the company.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Cooperation with R&D centers in testing specifications definition.
- Responsibility for setup and tuning of testers, mainly: ICT (in circuit test), OBP (On Board Programming), Pre-functional, Magelano, Screeening (Thermo, vibration, electrical testers), EOL (End Of Line – functional tests and camera systems).
- Monitoring the process of testing products and materials and improving them if necessary, in order to improve KPIs and achieve goals.
- Developing, improving testing machines and processes.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- University education, technical specialization - electrical engineering / electronics
- Knowledge of reading electrical diagrams, their understanding
- Knowledge of electrical components and their properties
- Knowledge of programming in at least one programming language are strong advantages (e.g. C #, C, Visual Basic, ASM, SQL)
Other skills that we would welcome:
- Knowledge of test hardware and software. In-circuit test, JTAG test, functional test, camera test, writing in memory, measurement of voltage, currents, frequencies.
- Experience with Labview or Teststand are strong advantages
- Improvement tools: D-FMEA, P-FMEA, PPAP, control plan, X-matrix, QA network & matrix, SMP, SOP, OPL, quick / standard / major kaizen
- Meeting at least 2 conditions:
- experience working with electronics
- experience with the development of electrical connections (e.g. as hobby - amplifiers, Arduino, etc.)
- experience working with various measuring instruments, at least theoretical knowledge of communication between measuring instruments and PC.
Expectations from you in this position:
- Daily monitoring of KPIs to determine the status of testing machines under responsibility. In case of problems, work on their elimination, finding the root cause, solutions, planning and implementation of corrective measures.
- Discuss activities with the production manager on a daily basis.
- KPI monitoring and reporting of the status of testing machines under responsibility. In case of more difficult problems, communication and reporting to the superior.
- Assist production in the areas of inspection and testing.
- Participate in the definition and development of inspection and testing of new products.
- Define and find appropriate procedures and policies for product inspection and testing.
- Design and implement activities aimed at continuously improving the control and testing system.
- Direct participation in the implementation of new projects and project transfers from the point of view of testing.
