About the Position:

We are looking for a Injection Molding Shift Manager to join the Pulaski team, reporting directly to the Pre-Production Manager.
 

This position is based at our office in Pulaski Tn.
 

As the Injection Molding Shift Manager at Marelli, you will direct a group of employees in their day-to-day operations with inspection and producing quality parts for customers, resolving minor maintenance problems, assigning work and completing related documentation and paperwork.

Your Responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure adherence to production schedules while maintaining compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and operational requirements.
  • Directly supervise, coach, and support production employees to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
  • Lead and participate in the analysis of product defects, rejections, and nonconformities, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage area Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives using PDCA and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ensure the timely and efficient execution of production schedules to meet customer and business requirements.
  • Provide training, guidance, and development opportunities to employees to enhance performance and skill levels.
  • Participate in cross-functional problem-solving teams to address operational, quality, and customer concerns.
  • Ensure product quality by monitoring compliance with established quality standards, specifications, and control requirements.
  • Verify compliance with departmental procedures, work instructions, and standardized operating practices.
  • Monitor process performance and reliability to maintain stable and efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Support investigations and responses related to assembly and customer complaints, implementing corrective actions as required.
  • Track production performance metrics and implement corrective measures to improve operational results.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement programs focused on safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates of scrap, inventory, and finished goods records within applicable systems.
  • Develop and implement projects aimed at reducing inventory levels, scrap generation, and overall manufacturing waste.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable quality, environmental, and safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain strict adherence to hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal requirements.
  • Lead and sustain MMS implementation and compliance within the assigned area.
  • Ensure assigned operations maintain compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and applicable occupational health and safety standards, including the use of current work instructions, control plans, visual aids, and related documentation.
  • Support and execute activities arising from process changes, customer requirements, new programs, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of departmental and organizational objectives.

What Qualifications you will bring:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3 years of experience in a production related manufacturing position preferred
  • Quality and environmental systems
  • Basic knowledge about Lean Manufacturing and its tools
  • Problem solving techniques
  • Leadership skills, communication, human relations.
  • Internal work regulations
  • Knowledge of computer packages (MS OFFICE)
  • Availability to work overtime on short notice
