About the Position:
The SDE, within the Business Unit, is in charge to:

Ensure complete Process and Product release of new buy components from external suppliers in cooperation with the development tea (Project Buyer, Project Manager, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Logistic…) before the Start of production

Lead the application of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodology performing Supplier project review, process audit and supplier capacity check

Participate to the Sourcing Process
Your Responsibilities will be:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support R&D, Project Buyer and Development Team in Supplier selection of new buy components from external supplier and all sourcing phases
- Act as “One-voice” towards Suppliers across all involved Business Units
- Ensure supply risk analysis evaluation in the early project phase
- Participate to Technical Analysis and validate suppliers solutions in terms of Quality, Technical/ Process solutions, Capability and Timing in line with the project team
- Ensure lessons learned application through feasibility commitment and Technical Analysis approval
- Ensure the implementation of Commodity state of the art and best in class standards/practice requirements in supplier processes through the application of Commodity Quality Check List
- Ensure the transmission and implementation of Specific Customer requirements
- Validate the Project Review performed by or with the suppliers
- Follow up the planning, execution and completion of all tasks required for Production part Approval Process (PPAP) evaluation and approval (including tool payments when relevant and the interim approval management when applicable)
- Support Change Management process and promote second sourcing
- Take decisions, autonomously solve problems, escalate properly
- Work across a global, matrixed organization, sharing and learning best practices
- Continuous cooperation with Project Buyer, Commodity organization, Project team and suppliers
- Participate to any relevant technical meeting with R&D and Suppliers
- Support the definition of the Request For Quotation Package for new components
- Perform requirements review and organize technical meetings and drawing/specifications reviews with suppliers and Development Team
- Support any APQP reporting requested at plant / Business Unit level
- Maintain the action plan at project level, shared with the Project Buyer, ensure its availability on the APQP Data Base
- Apply the APQP Lessons Learned: measure the effectiveness of the APQP process application, by means of reverse APQP process analysis based on the review of product performances, measured 6 months after start of production

What Qualifications you will bring:

Experience in supplier new project development related to injection molding, stamping, welding, and assembly processes.

Fluent in English, with a TOEIC score of 700 or higher.

Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to propose solutions, take responsibility, work under pressure, and manage supplier relationships.

Effective negotiation and persuasion abilities, with experience in managing meetings and fostering a team spirit.

Comprehensive knowledge and experience in new component development, including supplier selection, requirement definition, Advance Product Quality Planning, verification of production capacity, validation of Initial Samples Control Reports, and the Production Part Approval Process.

Experience in process auditing (qualified auditor according to VDA 6.3 is mandatory).

Knowledge and practical experience with quality tools such as Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Statistical Process Control, process capabilities, Pareto analysis, and problem-solving methods (such as 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Fault Tree Analysis, and experience capitalization).

Familiarity with quality norms such as IATF 16949, and knowledge of quality, environmental (ISO 14001), and safety requirements (ISO 45001).

Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Willingness to travel (30–50%).
