About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Manufacturing Panning Manager to join the Engineering team, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.
 

This position is based at our office in Aquascalientes, Mexico
 

The Manufacturing Planning Manager plays a central role in maximizing production efficiency and resource utilization within the plant management framework, leading competitive improvement initiatives and executing strategic plans to influence manufacturing performance through analysis, planning, and action. The position demands a blend of analytical skill, strategic foresight, and leadership acumen, aimed at making an impact and driving plant success.

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

  • Productivity Visualization & Analysis: Visualize productivity performance and clarify sources of loss through detailed data analysis.
  • Resource Forecasting & Optimization: Calculate and optimize required manpower and equipment resources in alignment with customer demand and production targets.
  • Production Load Analysis: Analyze and optimize production line loads, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
  • KPI Tracking & Improvement: Lead KPI tracking and improvement initiatives for production competitiveness and equipment utilization.
  • Financial Oversight & Cost Management: Manage site cost and headcount budgeting, controlling actual conditions for resource allocation and operational effectiveness.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and execute mid-term strategies and activity plans to advance manufacturing site competitiveness.

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field. Master’s degree  or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: At least 5 years of manufacturing planning, production scheduling, or supply chain management, ideally in a supervisory/managerial capacity, including a managerial capacity with proven leadership capabilities.
  • Skills:
        - Proficiency in planning and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics)
        - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
        - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with expertise in data-driven decision-making.
        - Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
        - Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge:
        - Familiarity with time method measurement techniques.
        - Deep understanding of work analysis, including strong experience in cycle times analysis, cycle times breakdown, and labor losses analysis.
        - Demonstrated ability to manage projects focused on productivity improvement.
        - Comprehensive knowledge of production processes, quality standards, inventory principles, lean manufacturing concepts, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Drive plant efficiency through ongoing analysis and targeted productivity improvement planning.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance production competitiveness and ensure consistent advancement in manufacturing performance.
  • Execute centrally defined strategies and tactics, aligning plant operations with organizational objectives.
  • Provide timely information feedback to Central Manufacturing to facilitate informed decision-making and performance tracking.
  • Capture production results, analyze outcomes, and define actionable steps to address performance gaps.
  • Plan and realize cost competitiveness through effective resource management and operational efficiencies.
  • Advance mid-term manufacturing site competitiveness with strategic improvement initiatives focused on sustainable growth.
