About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Senior Manager Logistics & Supply Chain, based in our Aguascalientes site!

The Manager Logistics at Marelli is a strategic leadership role within the logistics and supply chain department. This position is responsible for managing and overseeing various aspects of logistics operations with a focus on developing tools for transportation design, improving logistics competitiveness, deploying global standards, creating an efficient logistics network, optimizing inter-region logistics, implementing warehouse standardization, implementing a global transport management system, monitoring logistic KPIs, supporting plant operations on customs activities, implementing sustainability solutions, and leading specific projects to provide guidelines to all divisions. The Senior Manager Logistics plays a critical role in driving strategic initiatives, optimizing processes, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout the supply chain.

Your Responsibilities will be:

  • Transportation design: Lead development and deployment of tools to optimize transportation efficiency and cost, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Logistics competitiveness: Create and execute strategies to improve logistics cost ratios across divisions, using cross-functional collaboration, market intelligence, and benchmarking.
  • Global standards deployment: Implement global logistics standards, ensuring consistent processes, guidelines, and best practices across all sites.
  • Efficient logistics network: Design and implement strategies to build a cost‑effective, high‑performance logistics network that reduces lead times and leverages digital technologies.
  • Inter‑region network optimization: Continuously analyze and improve inter‑regional logistics flows to enhance efficiency, integration, and cost performance.
  • Warehouse standardization: Implement standardized warehouse processes, layouts, and inventory practices aligned with the Marelli Manufacturing System and footprint strategy.
  • Global TMS implementation: Lead rollout and adoption of the global transport management system to improve visibility, efficiency, and cost control.
  • KPI monitoring: Track and analyze key logistics KPIs monthly, develop dashboards, identify trends and root causes, and recommend improvement actions.
  • Sustainability initiatives: Drive implementation of logistics sustainability solutions to reduce environmental impact and support corporate sustainability goals.
  • Project leadership: Lead key logistics projects, defining goals, timelines, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and effective change management.

What Qualifications you will bring:

  • Minimum Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Transportation, Warehousing, or related field.
    • Advanced degree or logistics/supply chain certifications preferred.

    Minimum Experience:

    • 5–10 years in logistics or supply chain roles.
    • Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and end‑to‑end supply chain.
    • Proven success in logistics optimization, cost reduction, and implementing global standards.
    • Experience with transportation design tools, network optimization, warehouse standardization, and global TMS systems.
    • Skilled in KPI monitoring, data analysis, and driving improvement actions.
    • Experience advancing sustainability initiatives in logistics.

    Skills:

    • Strong strategic thinking and leadership across complex logistics operations.
    • Project management with cross‑functional team leadership.
    • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
    • Effective communication and influencing abilities with diverse stakeholders.

  • Lead successful implementation and adoption of the global transport management system to improve visibility and cost control.
  • Achieve monthly logistics KPI targets, reducing transport, premium freight, and packaging costs while improving forwarder performance.
  • Provide expert customs support to ensure compliance with import/export requirements and smooth international trade.
  • Implement sustainability solutions that reduce environmental impact and support company‑wide sustainability goals.
  • Lead key logistics projects, guiding divisions toward effective strategies and improved processes.
  • Contribute to overall company growth through strategic execution, logistics optimization, and continuous improvement.
