About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Thermal Solutions product Development Engineer to join the Green Technology Solutions Thermal Product Development Dept, join thermal product material engineering team reporting to the Thermal Engineering Manager. This position is based at our office in Sano Test Center.

As the Thermal Product Material Engineering Engineer at Marelli, you will be engaged in tasks related to the development of materials used in thermal solution products such as heat exchangers.

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

  • Participate in the development of materials (e.g., aluminum, polymers) used for heat exchangers and other thermal solution products.
  • Understand product requirements, define material specifications, and collaborate with material suppliers on joint development.
  • Evaluate and analyze catalog materials for applicability and performance.
  • Execute internal development processes, including Design Reviews (DR) and new material registration procedures.
  • Conduct material investigations and analyses for retrieved products from market and development samples.
  • Lead coordination and negotiations with internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Lead alignment and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders as necessarily.

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • Knowledge of metallurgy, polymer chemistry, or materials engineering.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or graduation from a technical college.

Other skills that we would welcome:

 

  • Min. 2 years of materials development experiences.
  • Knowledge of mechanical drawing and engineering schematics.
  • Project management skills.
  • Language skills: A proactive attitude toward improving English proficiency (native-level Japanese required)
