About the Position:
We are seeking a Thermal Products Test Department Leader (Manager)
You will be responsible for managing the testing organization that conducts performance evaluation and reliability testing of automotive heat exchangers, including radiators, oil coolers, condensers, battery coolers, and related products.
As a key function within the product development organization, you will play an important role in ensuring product performance and quality while collaborating closely with design and manufacturing teams. This position is based in Sano, Tochigi, Japan.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Lead and oversee the planning and execution of performance and reliability testing for heat exchanger products.
- Drive the advancement and standardization of testing facilities and evaluation technologies.
- Lead design validation and quality improvement activities in collaboration with design and manufacturing teams.
- Promote root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for technical issues.
- Manage the testing team, including workforce management, talent development, and performance evaluation.
- Manage and continuously improve safety, quality, and delivery performance.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, Materials Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Quality Engineering, or related disciplines.
- At least 10 years of experience in testing and validation of automotive products.
- At least 5 years of management experience.
- Fundamental knowledge of heat exchangers or thermal management systems.
- Experience in technical discussions and negotiations with external partners, including OEMs and suppliers.
- Language Skills: A proactive attitude toward improving English communication skills is essential.
