About the Position:
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join the Interiors team, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager.
This position is based at our office in Smyrna, Tennessee.
In this role, you will ensure teh uptime and reliability of production equipment, supporting safe and effecient manufacturing operations across the Marelli plant.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on injection molding machines, robotics, and related support equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize production downtime.
- Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes of equipment failure.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and part replacements in accordance with Marelli’s procedures.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve equipment-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all work complies with Marelli safety policies and environmental standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, process efficiency, and cost reduction.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- High school diploma or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining and repairing injection molding machines (e.g., ENGEL, Arburg, Krauss-Maffei, or similar) in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with lockout/tagout, machine guarding, and other safety procedures.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, shifts, or participate in on-call rotations as needed.
- Ability to work in US without visa sponsorship.
