About the Position

We are looking for a Quality Technician (Hourly Grade) who will join our Manufacturing department within the Interiors division, reporting directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor. This position is located at our production facility in Smyrna, TN. As a Quality Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring excellence in product quality and process reliability while supporting team performance during the 2nd Shift.
Division Introduction:
Interior Experience product area, with consistent technical capabilities gathering art, styling, design and fine production, works to provide turn-key Cockpit Module assemblies & modules to OEMs, from steering members to cockpits and consoles.
Responsibilities
As Quality Technician, your responsibilities will be to:
•    Conduct product, process, and 4M audits as specified by Quality Engineering standards listed on Process Control Plans and Inspection Standards.
•    Operate special tests or metrology equipment to verify product quality.
Read and interpret technical drawings, perform layout tasks, and apply mathematical skills when completing audits and inspections.
•    Utilize PC systems for data collection, inventory transactions, emails, and internal communications.
•    Communicate effectively with customers during off-shifts and collaborate with all internal departments.
•    Work a standard forty-hour schedule with overtime as required by management.
•    Adapt quickly to changing priorities or business requirements.
•    Travel occasionally for training and/or customer inspections.
•    Perform efficiently with minimal supervision.
•    Lift steering members and measure equipment as required.
•    Operate cutting tools, band saws, grinders, and other shop equipment.
What Qualifications You Will Bring
•    Good attendance history.
•    Basic grammar, math skills, and proficiency in computer applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
•    Clear and effective communication skills.
•    Willingness and ability to work overtime.
Other Skills That We Would Welcome
•    Previous leadership experience is preferred and valued.
•    Experience with audits or inspections in a manufacturing environment.
•    Technical knowledge in product quality or process control.
•    Proficiency with metrology equipment and technical drawing interpretation.
•    Ability to quickly learn new technologies and equipment.
