About the Position:
We are looking for a Production Manager to join the Manufacturing Green Technologies team, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.
This position is based at our office in Sosnowiec, Poland.
As the Production Manager at Marelli, you will be will be responsible for ensuring the effective execution of production plans through optimal management of people, equipment, tools, materials and technological processes. In this role, you will ensure that products are manufactured on time, in the required quantity and assortment, and at the quality level expected by our customers.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Ensure technical preparation of production, including the appropriate selection, availability and efficiency of equipment, tools and fixtures.
- Manage production execution in line with defined technological processes, quality requirements, procedures and standards, while ensuring achievement of production targets.
- Analyse the causes of defects and implement corrective and improvement actions.
- Initiate improvements to reduce downtime related to materials and transport operations.
- Plan staffing, organize the work of the production team, assign tasks and monitor their execution.
- Support employees’ development, multifunctionality and continuous improvement.
- Ensure employees understand and correctly apply work instructions, methods, safety rules and internal procedures.
- Monitor machine and equipment performance and technical condition.
- Implement and adjust production processes, including new products, tooling, staffing, materials and changeovers.
- Actively participate in new product launches.
- Take decisions to stop production or shipments when quality issues require corrective action.
- Support implementation, projects, audits and post-audit activities related to Marelli Manufacturing System / Lean.
- Supervise production documentation required for line audits, including Genba Kanri Diagnosis
- Promote and participate in Kaizen and IdeAction employee suggestion systems.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Higher technical education.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role in the automotive industry.
- English at B1 level.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Intermediate SAP knowledge.
- Knowledge of production processes, products, machines, equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and environmental regulations.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Knowledge of WCM / MMS Lean system and basic Lean tools.
- People management, planning and work organization skills.
- Ability to make decisions quickly and solve problems.
- Effective communication, leadership skills and strategic thinking
Other skills that we would welcome:
- Basic AutoCAD knowledge.
- Knowledge of production planning and management.
- Knowledge of MIG/MAG welding.
- Knowledge of WCM / MMS Lean advanced tools.
