About the Position:
We are seeking a Director – Supply Chain & Logistics Methods to lead global logistics optimization and standardization initiatives across Marelli’s operations. This role is critical in driving cost efficiency, sustainability, and digital transformation within our supply chain network. The Director will oversee strategic projects such as TMS implementation, warehouse footprint optimization, and CO₂ reduction initiatives, while influencing transversal functions including Purchasing, Finance, Sales, and Digital.
Your Responsibilities will be:
What Qualifications you will bring:
· Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
· Minimum Experience: 12+ years in global logistics and supply chain leadership within Tier 1 automotive or complex manufacturing, preferably in a dynamic environment.
· Technical Skills: Expertise in TMS/WMS systems, Incoterms, customs compliance, and digitalization projects. Strong knowledge of sustainability practices and CO₂ reduction strategies.
Other skills that we would welcome:
· Proven ability to lead global teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
· Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
· Experience in Lean/Kaizen and continuous improvement methodologies.
· Cultural adaptability and knowledge of APAC, North America, and EMEA business practices.
· Multilingual capabilities (English required; additional languages preferred).
· Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
Expectations from you in this position:
· Deliver measurable improvements logistics cost, service levels, and emission reduction.
· Drive global standardization and DigITal transformation initiatives. Build strong partnerships across Purchasing, Finance, Sales, and Sustainability.
· Ensure compliance with customs and trade regulations. Develop and mentor global logistics teams for high performance.
