About the Position:
We are searching for a Digital Communications and Social Media Manager to join our global public affairs and communications team.
Reporting directly to the Global Digital Communications and Social Media Director, you will help execute Marelli’s social media and digital communications strategies, support proactive storytelling and contribute to growing our social media and digital communications capabilities.

This is a hybrid role in our Southfield, MI location.
Your Responsibilities will be:
Global strategy: Assist in execution of global social media and digital communications strategies in line with Marelli’s brand and business objectives.
Content:
- Curate and capture visual assets: Work with global colleagues to source and capture social-first photo and video content—including behind-the-scenes moments, innovation moments and employee stories—to enhance Marelli’s visual storytelling across platforms.
- Creation: Develop copy, visuals, short-form video and executive content — repurposing assets when appropriate.
- Editorial Calendars: Support the development of global editorial calendars in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, HR and product teams.
- Support relationships with social media agencies and partners, ensuring content developed is aligned with brand, delivered on time and contributes to social media KPIs.
- Partner with HR and employer branding teams to position Marelli as a great place to work.
Paid Social:
- Copy: develop copy and visuals
- Reporting: Analyze results and optimize ad campaigns
- Coordinate with agency: partner with agency on paid campaigns and post boosting.
Newsroom:
- In partnership with external comms, HR, Marketing and the businesses, assist in the development of website content that helps meet stakeholder objectives.
- Support content posting needs based on agreed upon editorial calendar.
- Provide reporting on progress toward KPIs in both detailed and executive formats.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field.
- At least minimum of 7 years of experience in social media management, preferably in B2B/global corporate environments.
- Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills, with a sharp eye for brand tone and voice.
- Ability to capture and curate engaging visual content, especially in corporate or manufacturing settings.
- Comfortable using social media management tools like Sprinklr or Hootsuite.
- Experience with website CMS.
- Advanced graphic design and video editing capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite.
- Understanding of paid vs. organic social media and how social supports the marketing funnel.
- Ability to work across functions and geographies with diplomacy and cultural awareness.
- Experience working with or managing agencies and creative vendors.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to turn metrics into insights.
- Fluent in English.
