About the Position:

 

We are looking for a EHS Manager  to join the EHS team, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.
 

This position is based at our office in Toluca.
 

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

  • Lead and implement Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with local regulations, corporate standards, and customer requirements.
  • Drive a proactive safety culture through risk assessments, incident investigations, corrective actions, and employee awareness initiatives.
  • Manage environmental compliance, waste management, emergency preparedness, and ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 management systems to support operational excellence.

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience leading EHS functions within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican EHS regulations, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, risk management, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Other skills that we would welcome:

 

  • Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience managing EHS audits, certifications, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and change management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and sustainability programs.
  • Experience with reporting KPIs, environmental permits, and government inspections.

Expectations from you in this position:

 

  • Partner with plant leadership to identify risks, implement corrective actions, and drive EHS performance through data-driven decision making
  • Ensure successful maintenance of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and readiness for internal and external audits.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor site teams to strengthen EHS awareness, accountability, and engagement across the organization
