About the Position:
We are looking for a MFE Welding Engineer to join the MFE Ride Dynamics team, reporting directly to the Welding Manager.
This position is based at our office in Torino.
As the MFE Welding Engineer at Marelli, you will be responsible to design and implement welding processes and technologies.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Support welding lines compliance with the time, costs and all Internal and Customer requirements
- Support feasibility and tolerance definition of product based on welding process and technology applicable
- Ensure best choice of welding lines and technology to grant product feasibility and tolerance chain
- Support the definition of technical specification to support Supplier RFQ process
- Evaluate Supplier technical proposal to support Purchasing best choice
- Control machinery production at suppliers plant for preliminary technical approval
- Cooperate with customer R&D department (Simultaneous engineering activity)
- Define parts production workflow and work cycle (Study of the method)
- Realization of machinery and tools in co – design with suppliers
- Support plants during welding lines installation and machinery start up
- Support plant during production ramp up
- Support Machinery technical approval to allow payment
- Support management and resolution of possible problems in all stages of welding machines design, development, installation and start up
What Qualifications you will bring:
- Mechanical / Automotive Engineering degree
Other skills that we would welcome:
- English advanced
- knowledge of mechanical drawings and tolerances ISO and ASME
- knowledge of Suspension System/Shock Absorbers products and processes ( welding )
- knowledge of Flow Chart, FMEA, Control Plan, according to ISOTS
- knowledge of Plan Method
