About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Plant Controller to join the Electronics Manufacturing team, reporting directly to the Nafta Financial Controller Sr. Manager.
 

This position is based at our office in México, Tepotzotlán, 


The Plant Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial operations at the electronics manufacturing plant. This role ensures effective financial planning, analysis, reporting, and internal controls while partnering with plant management to drive operational performance and compliance. 

Your Responsibilities will be:

  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
  • Monitor plant costs, inventory, and production variances
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and corporate policies
  • Analyze operational results and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Present financial data to plant leadership, corporate, and auditors
  • Support capital investment planning and cost optimization projects
  • Lead plant finance team and coordinate with HR/payroll as needed
  • Develop and maintain robust ERP/reporting systems for plant operations

What Qualifications you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred)
  • 5+ years’ experience in plant or manufacturing finance, preferably in electronics
  • Proficiency in cost accounting, financial analysis, and budgeting
  • Knowledge of ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)

  • Deliver accurate, timely financial reports and analyses to support informed decision-making.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and adherence to regulatory, corporate, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate proactively with plant management to identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Demonstrate ownership of plant financial performance, including cost control, profitability, and asset management.
  • Act as a strategic business partner, contributing to plant operational improvements and supporting company objectives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the finance team.
  • Respond quickly to changes in operations or business needs, showing adaptability and initiative.
  • Ensure smooth year-end closing and audit processes with minimal issues or errors.
  • Provide effective leadership, coaching, and development to plant finance staff.
  • Stay current on relevant financial practices, technology, and industry trends.
