About the Position:

 

We are looking for a HR Operations & Payroll Specialist to join the Electronics Human Resources team, reporting directly to the HR Manager.
 

As the HR Operations & Payroll Specialist at Marelli, you will be responsible for supporting and elevating our workforce by ensuring accurate pre-payroll processing and impeccable HR operations. You will play a crucial role in validating employee records, managing attendance and related data, and collaborating closely with HR and payroll teams to guarantee timely and compliant payroll execution. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and proactive mindset will help drive operational excellence and enrich the employee experience in our electronics plant.

Your Responsibilities will be:

  • Validate and manage employee attendance records, absences, overtime, vacations, and permissions.
  • Review and prepare all pre-payroll data for accurate payroll processing.
  • Ensure proper registration and tracking of new hires, rehires, terminations, and employee changes in the HR system.
  • Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to ensure data integrity and timely submission.
  • Generate reports related to pre-payroll metrics for internal and external audits.
  • Maintain up-to-date and confidential employee records.
  • Provide support to resolve pre-payroll related queries from employees

What Qualifications you will bring:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in pre-payroll or payroll administration, preferably in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with payroll/HR systems (e.g., TRESS, Nomipaq, SAP, Kronos, etc.) and strong Excel skills.
  • Understanding of labor regulations, social security, and benefits administration (IMSS, INFONAVIT, SAT).
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Problem-solving skills for addressing employee inquiries and inconsistencies in data.
  • Familiarity with confidentiality protocols and data protection regulations regarding employee information.
  • Experience with time and attendance management systems.
  • Proactivity in suggesting process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills to support HR and payroll teams.
  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Continuously update knowledge related to labor laws, payroll regulations, and company policies.

  • Demonstrate accountability in reporting and resolving errors or inconsistencies.
  • Support internal communication by providing clear and timely information to employees and management.
