About the Position:
The Manufacturing Quality Specialist supports product and process quality in an electronics manufacturing plant by monitoring defects, inspections, audits, scrap, rework, and production performance. This role investigates quality issues, helps identify root causes, and supports corrective actions to prevent recurrence. The position works closely with production, engineering, testing, and supplier teams to ensure products meet customer requirements and quality standards. It requires knowledge of electronics manufacturing, quality tools, inspection criteria, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Monitor production quality performance, defects, scrap, rework, and first-pass yield.
- Conduct process audits, product inspections, and root cause analysis.
- Support corrective and preventive actions using 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, or similar tools.
- Work with production, engineering, testing, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with ESD, IPC standards, ISO 9001/IATF 16949, control plans, and work instructions.
- Prepare quality reports and support customer audits.
What Qualifications you will bring:
Technical degree or Bachelor’s in Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Quality, or related field.Experience in electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, SMT, testing, or quality assurance. Knowledge of quality tools, measurement systems, inspection criteria, and manufacturing documentation.
Other skills that we would welcome:
Analytical thinking, attention to detail, communication, teamwork, organization, problem-solving, bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
