About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Quality Lab analyst  to join the Electronics Manufacturing team, reporting directly to the Quality Coordinator.
 

This position is based at our office in Tepotzotlan, México.
 

As the Quality Lab analyst at Marelli, you will be responsible for conducting analytical tests on environmental samples to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality protocols. The role supports laboratory operations by maintaining accurate records, troubleshooting laboratory equipment, and identifying areas for process improvement. 

Your Responsibilities will be:

  • Perform precise chemical, physical, and microbiological analyses of environmental samples (water, soil, air, etc.)
  • Record, review, and validate laboratory data for accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Maintain laboratory documentation, reports, and logs in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Participate in quality assurance and control activities, including proficiency testing
  • Assist in developing and validating new test methods
  • Communicate findings and anomalies to Laboratory Manager and relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure laboratory safety and compliance with health/environmental regulations

What Qualifications you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field
  • Previous laboratory experience preferred (internships or similar roles)
  • Knowledge of laboratory methods, equipment, and safety standards
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities

  • Technical Expertise: Ability to interpret complex analytical results and troubleshoot test anomalies.
  • Problem-Solving: Quick to identify and resolve discrepancies or instrument failures.
  • Time Management: Capable of prioritizing work to meet project deadlines and regulatory reporting schedules.
  • IT Skills: Familiarity with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) and standard office software.
  • Continuous Improvement: Initiative to suggest process or quality improvements.
  • Attention to Regulatory Changes: Keeps updated with relevant environmental regulations and testing standards.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable with frequent changes in methods, technologies, and sample types.
