About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician  to join the Manufacturing team, reporting directly to the Maintenance Coordinator.
 

This position is based at our office in Tepotzotlan, México.
 

As the Maintenance Technician at Marelli, you will be responsible to ensure the execution of corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance activities to enable reliable and proper functioning of the equipment. The main objective is to minimize downtime, prevent breakdowns, and ensure that all operations are carried out safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing faults, performing regular inspections, and executing electrical and mechanical repairs. 

Your Responsibilities will be:

  • Execution of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance
    • Achieve 95% performance in preventive and predictive maintenance activities.

  • Reduction of Corrective Maintenance
    • Minimize the number of EWOs and machine failures caused by insufficient maintenance.

  • Monitoring of Maintenance Indicators
    • Track MTTR, MTBF, BD rate, OEE, and Scrap metrics.

  • Cost-Saving Proposals within MMD Methodology (IPPON)
    • Submit improvement and cost-saving proposals; apply MMD and Energy methodologies.

  • EHS Standards
    • Implement and follow EHS and LOTO procedures and protocols.



What Qualifications you will bring:

  • Technical education in mechanics, electromechanics, electricity, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge in mechanics, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Proficiency in handling tools.
  • Ability to diagnose and solve complex problems.
  • Capacity to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
  • Experience with vision systems, sensors, or scanners (Keyence brand).
  • Experience with adhesive application systems (Nordson or Viscotec brands).
  • Knowledge of plasma application equipment.
  • Maintenance experience with Mitsubishi robots.
  • Knowledge and experience in pneumatics.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical plans.
  • Knowledge of laser marking equipment.
  • Experience with screwdrivers (Desoutter brand) and stoguer systems.
  •  

Other skills that we would welcome:

 

  • Electricity, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, computing, control, and automation.
  • Use of tools for mechanical adjustments.
  • Knowledge of servo and brake replacement.
  • Use of measuring equipment.

Expectations from you in this position:

  • Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment and machinery.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct systematic inspections and replace key components.
  • Use measurement tools for diagnostics and adjustments.
  • Adhere to EHS and LOTO procedures and standards.
  • Monitor and report maintenance KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, OEE, etc.).
  • Propose improvement and cost-saving initiatives within Marelli ELS methodologies.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Contribute to continuous operational excellence.
