About the Position:
We are looking for a SMT Technician to join the Electronic Manufacturing team, reporting directly to the SMT Coordinator.
This position is based at our office in Tepotzotlan, México.
As the SMT Technician at Marelli, you will be responsible for performing quality and functional tests on materials, products, and equipment handled within the logistics environment. This role ensures that incoming and outgoing items meet required specifications and standards, supporting operational excellence, client satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Conduct inspections and tests on incoming and outgoing products as per ELS and client standards.
- Operate testing equipment and record results accurately in inventory or quality management systems.
- Identify, document, and report defects, deviations, or failures found during the testing processes.
- Collaborate with quality assurance, inventory, and operations teams to address product quality issues.
- Prepare test documentation, inspection reports, and maintain necessary records for compliance and audits.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing testing and quality workflows.
- Adhere to safety protocols and proper use of testing tools/equipment.
What Qualifications you will bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in quality, testing, or logistics preferred.
- Experience in product testing, quality inspection, or logistics industry desirable.
- Proficient in using testing instruments and basic computer systems.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation abilities.
- Effective communication skills and teamwork orientation.
- Understanding of safety and compliance requirements (industry, client, or regulatory).
