About the Position:
We are looking for a Buyer to join the Propulsion Product Development Purchasing team, reporting directly to the Propulsion Product Development Responsible.
This position is based at our office in Venaria Reale or Bologna sites.
As Buyer at Marelli, you will be responsible for all prototypes procurement during projects development phases, source materials and components, negotiate contracts with global suppliers, and ensure cost-effective purchasing aligns with production needs
Your Responsibilities will be:
· Identify and evaluate potential suppliers through market research, RFQs, and competitive bidding processes for all electronics prototypes.
· Release Purchase Orders, manages delivery schedules and contracts to achieve optimal cost savings and quality standards.
· Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, production, quality) to forecast demand and align purchasing with development project timelines.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and international regulations.
· Support Team projects activities.
What Qualifications you will bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Buyer or in procurement, preferably in automotive or manufacturing sectors.
• Fluency in English and Italian;
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of cost reductions and supplier management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and procurement tools.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.What does this position offer you:
